Linquenda is a family operated traditional Dutch Skutsje tjalk (sailing barge). Each season, from April to October, guest crews join us as we cruise the European waterways. Through operating Linquenda your hosts strive to offer the most in flexibility, informality and relaxation.

Linquenda has three double cabins, a large living/ dinning area and a huge open-air cockpit. She is a very stable boat. There is a dinghy and bicycles for early morning boulangerie runs, or exploring the many sights along the waterway.

Guests should be reasonably agile and willing to participate in most aspects of shipboard life (meal prep, cleanup, working the locks, navigation, drinking the wine (after we have safely tied up for the evening)... and/or advising your hosts where to go).

We stop every Sunday/Monday in a major centre for crew changeovers.

During the 2010 season we plan on leaving Toulouse in southern France, in early April. We will be voyaging down the Canal du Midi to Grau d'Agde on the Mediterranean to haulout for the five year insurance survey. In May and June we will be cruising back to Toulouse and possibly continuing along the Canal Lateral a la Garonne.
